THE QUICK ANSWER
What is Shared Today?
PawNest Today brings the selected pet’s due tasks, recorded completions and reported changes into one starting point. It helps a busy household decide what needs attention next without piecing together messages. Caregiver names and recorded times add context, so an open task and a completed task tell different stories.

FROM FIRST TAP TO NEXT STEP
How to use it
- 01
Choose the pet before reviewing today’s care. Separate pets can have very different routines.
- 02
Read pending tasks and recent completions together. Look at the caregiver name and time, not just the title.
- 03
Record a task after doing it, or open the relevant care section to add an observation.
- 04
At a handoff, review unresolved care with the next person and refresh the list if a recent change is missing.
THREE WAYS IT FITS REAL LIFE
Picture it in your household
These are illustrative scenarios, not customer testimonials or promised outcomes.
Two early risers
Sam feeds Luna before leaving. Alex opens Today and sees Sam’s recorded completion and time. Alex can confirm what happened before offering another breakfast, instead of guessing from an empty bowl.
The useful next step: Read pending tasks and recent completions together. Look at the caregiver name and time, not just the title.
A busy evening
One caregiver handles the walk while another prepares dinner. Today helps them see which actions are recorded and which remain open, so they can divide the remaining work explicitly.
The useful next step: Record a task after doing it, or open the relevant care section to add an observation.
A change worth discussing
A caregiver records lower energy during a check-in. The next person sees the reported change and asks what was observed. Concerning symptoms warrant veterinary advice even when every care task is complete.
The useful next step: At a handoff, review unresolved care with the next person and refresh the list if a recent change is missing.
THE HABIT THAT HELPS
Make it useful from day one
Agree on a simple household rule: record an action after it happens and contact the previous caregiver when an entry is uncertain. Consistent wording is more useful than a long list nobody understands.
Start with one pet and one routine. Once everyone knows where to look, add the details that actually reduce handoff questions. Open the correct pet before making an entry.
CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
What to keep in mind
Today is an organizing view, not continuous monitoring, an emergency service or a health assessment.
Check the current account and pricing screens for availability and allowances. A guide explains the feature; it does not guarantee an outcome in every situation.
THE DETAILS PEOPLE ASK ABOUT
Shared Today FAQs
Does a completed task prove the care happened?
It is a caregiver-entered record. Confirm uncertain entries with the person who recorded them, especially before repeating medication.
Are updates instant?
Open shared care lists refresh every 15 seconds. Network conditions, a sleeping device or a closed page can delay visibility; this is not an instant notification guarantee.
What does an overdue task mean?
Its scheduled time has passed without a recorded completion. It does not prove the pet missed that care.
Can I use Today for several pets?
Yes. Select the intended pet and review that pet’s tasks and observations. Available pet limits follow your current plan.
